Wowee! I can’t even believe my little guy is 3 now! It feels like it was only yesterday I was planning my baby shower! Noah is obsessed with all things cars, trucks and Thomas the Tank Engine (and playing and running around non-stop!) so I thought what better way to celebrate his 3rd birthday this year than with a Thomas themed birthday party at our local park! Our little guy was off having the time of his life so I barely got to capture any pictures of the day, but I’m pretty sure that’s the sign of a good day right!

I love Pinterest and am always scrolling through looking for inspo, so when I saw this number train track birthday cake idea I just knew I had to try and re create it. And it was surprisingly easier than I though it would be! I found the large number 3 cake tin on eBay (it was 14” x 10”) and I only needed only two cake mix packets to fill it. Make sure to let your icing set enough in the fridge before you attempt the licorice train tracks as well. I used a tiny bit of icing gel to stick the thin licorice tracks in place
